March 31st

Well, it's been two weeks since I last posted. I don't know if anyone is reading this so it probably doesn't matter. Have done a few things on the food side. Started eating a hard boiled egg at breakfast for some protein. It seems to help me keep moving better. Haven't gotten back into recording my food yet. I plan to start tomorrow (I know, "Manana").

The ADHD is still giving me fits. I read an article in a blog about a study done that shows living in a cluttered environment inhibits your mind's ability to focus. That is the truth! I've got so many areas I want to work in but I can't decide where to start. I just do little bits here and there and never really get anything done.

Tax time

Well, I finally did my taxes. After much apprehension I actually am receiving state and fed refunds. That will sure come in handy when I get them. All the new stuff with the Disability pay and IPERS retirement left me wondering if I would owe or not. It all worked out fine and it's done! Now to be better organized with receipts for next year.

I purchased a walker with a seat on it but I haven't got it together yet. It came by FedEx and is all in pieces. This will really help me get some exercise in as I can't walk very far without having to sit down for a while.

I've been doing more reading in "Is it You, Me or Adult ADD?" The book's really intended more for the spouse or significant other of someone with ADHD but I am finding useful stuff in it for me to. My biggest frustration with having Adult ADHD is in finding a support group for us. There's a support group for parents of children with ADHD locally but nothing for Adults with ADHD! And trying to find a psychologist or psychiatrist with adult ADHD experience or training is futile here. I may have to go to Des Moines or Iowa City.

Enough of that rant. It's a beautiful day outside so I shall enjoy it and relax.

How time flies!

It takes a lot of concentration to put together a blog on a continuing basis. It doesn't help that I have Adult ADHD. Concentration is definately a problem for me. Oh well. Making a new start today (again!)

My goals for this week are to record what I eat and to eat healthy as best I can. Need to shop some to get the right foods, but I'll do what I can with what I've got. That scale I have really helps.

Still trying to declutter. There's so much to do and where do I start? I'm going to try a suggestion I read to declutter a little wherever you're at. Still requires good organization skills, which aren't my high point, but I will make it work. I'm also going to try the Fly Lady idea of spending 15 minutes a day working on one area of the house. It'll be a small area and if I can avoid distractions I'll get it done.

Have to run out and get ink for the printer sometime today also. Just need one color so that'll help with cost. Also have to get ready for church meetings tonight, which is why I need the ink to print some information I need for the meetings.
